Greeley Denture Options for Improved Comfort, Function and Aesthetics

At Thompson Advanced Dentistry, we are focused on providing our Greeley patients with the best in dental care and delivering the right treatments to meet their oral health needs. For patients seeking replacements to missing teeth, Dr. Joseph Thompson offers a range of denture options that will not only look great, but feel great too.

Types of Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that function as prosthetic teeth. Replacing missing teeth can improve the appearance of your smile, and restore your bite. We provide the following custom-fit dentures in our Greeley dental office:

Full Dentures
– Also called “conventional” dentures, full dentures involve replacing all of your teeth. This type of denture may require additional procedures, such as the extraction of remaining teeth.

Partial Dentures
– True to its name, partial dentures replace one or more neighboring teeth

Overdentures
– A removable denture that fits over a few remaining teeth

Implant-Supported Dentures
– Implant dentures are a set of dentures that fit onto dental implants. The number of implants needed depends on the oral health of the patient.

Securing your Dentures

A more common problem for denture wearers is that the denture itself can slip out of place. Saliva production, eating, and drinking take their toll on the resin used to keep the denture in place and as the day progresses, the bonding material loses its strength. At Thompson Advanced Dentistry we improve that stability of dentures using one of two methods:

Softec Dental Liners: Traditional dentures are made of a hard plastic which can cause the dentures to slip. With Softec liners, the dentures stay in place thanks to its soft, durable and pliable material which comes into contact with the soft tissue of your palate. Dentures featuring Softec liners provide better suction and retention than traditional dentures.

Dental Implants:
Dental implants are a safe and healthy way of keeping dentures secure in the mouth. Implants are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jaw in place of the natural root. Fitted with an abutment and the new denture, implants offer dentures a stable base that will not move out of place.
